This 25 once again goes from the 1950s with At the Hop which I first saw performed by Sha Na Na in 1972 to  Comeback Song by one of my favorite "country" artists Darius Rucker--former lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish. Included is thr first of eight songs by Three Dog Night who I first saw in concert at MSG in 1971 where Stevie Wonder was the warmup act. It also has the first of seven songs by the Spinners which through most of their most popular period featured Phillippe Wynne who in my opinion was one of the great r&b performers of his era but whose life ended tragically at a young age. The Chi-Lites led by the late great Eugene Record will show up four more time in the countdown as will the Grateful Dead and Herman's Hermits.
