  1. Dad! What an assortment. I like that some mainstream country songs are finding their way into your list. I was suprised to see 'Badd' by the Ying Yang Twins on there though-- can't deny that "I'm looking for a dime, that's top of the line, cute face, slim waist with a big behind" is lyrical masterpiece.

Also glad to see Backstreet Boys snuck in there. After attending numerous concerts with me as their "biggest fan," I'm very happy that you see what I saw in them 10 years ago!

  2. Very eclectic 1st 30 Jim. Can't wait to see and compare lists on the next 1200. Did not expect to see Baby Got Back on this list!
If you haven't seen Chris Stufflestreets '70's Music Mayhem Blog you should check it out, I"m sure you'll enjoy it.

  3. Thanks Julie!

This is the first of two songs with Ying Yang Twins as the main arist although they are given credit on another one I have much higher up with Lil' Jon and the east Side Boyz. With lyrics like that, no wonder Badd has turned into a fraternity anthem. Still getting into the country--you will see a few more but country songs are generally on the lower end of the survey. Yeah, I still remember the Backstreet Boys concerts we went to but this is my only song by the Backstreet Boys on the top 1230.

    Anthony,

It is a big variety. I'm not a huge hip hop fan but I do like a few of the early rap songs by pioneers Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, Kurtis Blow and Sir Mix-a-Lot who will have another one was up the list that is one of my all time favorite songs.
